Car Detailing Tips

Glass Cleaning Made Easy and Streak-Free

Use tools with extended handles to reach difficult areas like the front and rear windshields, especially in larger vehicles. Spray glass cleaner onto a clean microfiber towel to avoid overspray on dashboards. Wipe the glass thoroughly, then use a fresh towel with a small amount of Anti-Static Showroom Conditioner to buff and dry for a streak-free shiny finish.

Keep Your Car Smelling Fresh

A pleasant scent can make a big difference in your driving mood. Use a sustainable air freshener like Gimmeone which uses natural essential oils and lasts up to 3 months. Keeping the outer package closed when not in use prevents your nose from becoming desensitized and keeps your car smelling fresh longer.

Dress Tires for a Shiny Finish

Spray on or use an applicator to apply tire dressing to the tire surface for a clean, glossy look. Then roll the vehicle back a few feet, and dress the part of the tire that was touching the ground.

Dilution Ratios for Cleaners

Using the right dilution ratio saves money because you use less product. For example, Falcon Blue All-Purpose Cleaner (APC) is shipped without added water and must be diluted before use. Dilute up to 100:1 for regular maintenance cleaning, 20:1 or 10:1 for cleaning heavy dirt, grime, and stains. Adjust strength depending on the job.

Polish Chrome Exhaust Tips and Bumpers

Use Metal Polish polish to restore the shine on exhaust tips and chrome bumpers. Apply the Metal Polish with an applicator or microfiber towel and buff to remove oxidation and carbon buildup until they look new again.

Cleaning the Engine Bay

Cleaning the engine bay is easier than it looks. Make sure the engine is cool. Cover sensitive parts like the battery and air intake with plastic to protect them. Use an appropriate engine degreaser to spray the engine, then let soak while you scrub stubborn spots with a brush. Rinse gently with a pressure washer or water hose. Clean the underside of the hood and rinse.

Carpet Dyeing for Stubborn Stains

If your vehicle's carpet has stubborn stains that won’t come out, try using carpet dye. Once the carpet is dry, apply carpet dye evenly with a brush and let it dry. Wear gloves to prevent staining your hands. This will restore the carpet so it looks almost new.

Regular Maintenance Cleaning

Remove trash, wash the windshield, and vacuum during fuel stops. Vehicles should be washed with Wash and Wax weekly or bi-weekly if garaged. Consistent cleaning prevent dirt buildup and make detailing less daunting.
